How to intepret getGUID_ object_o?

The guid id for an object is:

Doors Guid :AB:479f06bc41562230:23:1a00000017:2300056a21:281477:ff5097be85

The Copy URL gave the below value:
doors://loc-DOORS8.3:36677/?version=1,prodID=0,dbid=479f06bc41562230,container=00056a21,object=5239,view=00000017

I tried to correlate the URL and GUID but could not understand where the last string (above eg: ff5097be85) in GUID comes from.

Well in DOORS 8.2 you get for the GUID:

print (getGUID_ item fullName current Module) "\n"
print (getGUID_ (current Object)) "\n"
print (getURL(current Object)) "\n"
// Output:
// ABAAAAAAAAAAARxAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM
// ABAAAAAAAAAAARxAAAAACAAAAAAAAAAM
// doors://localhost:36677/?version=1,prodID=0,dbid=4f15504276bc42c9,container=00011c40,object=2

So the GUID is maybe something you do not want to rely on, when it comes to portable DXL. It is also not documented in the DXL help. The question would be, why you need that information? Do you need to recalculate the URL from the GUID?

In DOORS 9.3 I get:

Module:AB:4d58be064842131f:21:21000062e3:28ffffffff:ff0000002c
Object:AB:4d58be064842131f:23:21000062e3:2800000002:ff0000002c
URL Moduledoors://localhost:36677/?version=2&prodID=0&view=00000001&urn=urn:telelogic::1-4d58be064842131f-M-000062e3
URL Objectdoors://localhost:36677/?version=2&prodID=0&view=00000001&urn=urn:telelogic::1-4d58be064842131f-O-2-000062e3

Module:AB:4d58be064842131f:21:21000062e3:28ffffffff:ff0000002c
Object:AB:4d58be064842131f:23:21000062e3:280000007f:ff0000002c
URL Moduledoors://localhost:36677/?version=2&prodID=0&view=00000002&urn=urn:telelogic::1-4d58be064842131f-M-000062e3
URL Objectdoors://localhost:36677/?version=2&prodID=0&view=00000002&urn=urn:telelogic::1-4d58be064842131f-O-127-000062e3

To come to your question, from looking at my database and the GUIDs / URLs I can also not directly say, where the last part is coming from. I could try to find out, but since that requires some work, the question would be, for what you need it.

Regards, Mathias

Thank you for the reply. I wanted to recalculate the URL from the GUID but if it takes a lot of effort then may be it is not worth the try.
